Recovery of Grain Yield and Protein with Fertilizer Application Post Nitrogen Stress in Winter Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

چکیده
Unfavorable weather conditions and lack of appropriate farm machinery often delay N application. This results in nitrogen (N) deficiency during the vegetative early reproductive growth stages winter wheat. The objective this study was to evaluate impact application timings (from tillering flag leaf stages) on wheat grain yield protein. conducted across 12 site–years Oklahoma, US. treatments included a non-fertilized check, pre-plant 100 kg ha−1, ten in-season at ha−1. treatment applications were initiated point when an visually identified by comparing check. applied progressive order every seven growing degree days (GDD > 0 °C) until cumulative GDD 63 reached after visual (DAVD). All increased protein as compared showing that yield-limiting factor. made post Feekes 8 decreased applications. Across data set, timing corresponded range 21 63DAVD. suggested forgoing stage 7, even highly apparent before stage, had no negative yield, it some cases. plant developmental which takes place is more critical than level deficiency. Our show fertilizer should be posteriorly crop dormancy maximize both protein, plants can recover from are late-vegetative phase (Feekes 7). document shows producers have much wider window traditionally believed.

The effects of salinity stress on grain quality traits of wheat were investigated using 180 lines of F5 generation in two environments (normal and salinity stress). A randomized complete block designs with three replications was used in each of the environments at the Research Farm of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Station of Isfahan in 2019-2020 cropping season. To investigate the effect of the timing of nitrogen fertilizer application on grain yield and quality of bread wheat cultivars under terminal drought stress conditions, two field experiments were conducted at Agricultural Research Station of Miandoab in West Azerbaijan, Iran, in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 cropping seasons. Experimental treatments were arranged as split plot factorial in randomiz...
متن کاملEffect of nitrogen levels and nitrogen ratios on lodging resistance and yield potential of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
Lodging is one of the constraints that limit wheat yields and quality due to the unexpected bending or breaking stems on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) production worldwide. In addition to choosing lodging resistance varieties, husbandry practices also have a significant effect on lodging. Nitrogen management is one of the most common and efficient methods. A field experiment with Yangmai 20 as r...
